OVERHEAD CRANE & RIGGING LEVEL 1 COMBO
This course is designed to introduce the learner to the basic concepts, hazards, hazard control processes and safe work procedures associated with operating overhead cranes. It follows the regulations, guidelines, principles and recommendations established by the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code.

This is a full, comprehensive “blended” course that can also be taken in a classroom with FCIT. If you prefer classroom training OR have already successfully completed the online portion of this course and require a skills assessment, contact us.
Course Description
​
This Online Overhead Crane course is a self guided online program that trains the students on basic overhead crane operation, inspection and evaluation.
​
The most current ASME standards were used to create this new 2020 Basic Rigging – Level 1 course which covers rigging techniques, inspections, and clarifies rigging misconceptions.

Course Completion
​
The quizzes at the end of each chapter are intended and designed to strengthen your understanding of its contents. A passing mark of 70% is required and you ONLY have two retries of each quiz to achieve this.
Upon successful completion of this course, a unique digital certificate, valid for three years, will be available to download and print for each course. On successful completion of the exam, the student will receive competency assessment forms that can be used by the employer.
