Overview

This course is intended for those who want to understand fires. It discusses fire prevention, planning and suppression focusing on the use of portable fire extinguishers.

​

This course follows the established and accepted guidelines, principles and recommendations of internationally recognized fire safety organizations.

This training is intended to supplement employer training programs.

  • Elements of a Fire

  • Classification of Fires

  • Fire Extinguishers and what to know about them

  • Using Fire Extinguisher

 Course Duration

​

 In-Class Training – 4 hours (approximately)

 Online Theory – 1.5 hours (approximately)

Course Completion

​

The quiz at the end of this course is intended and designed to strengthen your understanding of its contents. A passing mark of 80% is required and you have two retries of the quiz to achieve this. Upon successful completion of this course, a unique digital certificate, valid for three years, will be available to download and print.
